BBM use the actual player stats in MLB, and assigns eligibility the same way. Hitters are able to make as many starts in BBM as they have made in MLB. Unlike most fantasy baseball games, though, BBM assigns position eligibility based on each player’s starts for the current season.
Note: For Ultimate Leagues, eligibility also depends on the handedness of the starting pitchers faced in MLB and in BBM.
If a player has 10 starts at first base, 6 starts at third base, and 4 starts in the outfield, then he will have the same number of starts at the same positions in BBM. Once a start is used, it cannot be used again during the regular season.
Pinch-hit appearances are set aside as reserves for BBM.
Note: Hitters who are used as pitchers in MLB will not be able to be used as pitchers in BBM.
