Setting Lineups for Hitters

A BBM manager must regularly manage lineups. The game has 3 lineups to manage:

  1. Standard Lineup
  2. Tomorrow's Lineup
  3. Next Day's Lineup

Note: For Ultimate Leagues, the standard lineup is further separated into LHP and RHP lineups.

Each lineup automatically feeds the next day's lineup during morning processing. In other words, the Standard Lineup populates the Next Days Lineup, which populates the Tomorrow's Lineup which is used for tomorrow night's game.

The most important lineup to manage is Tomorrow's Lineup. Make sure it is filled and includes the players you want because tomorrow it will be the lineup used for that night's game. Once tomorrow comes you cannot make changes for the game that night.

Each position has a drop-down menu of players; the list shows the player and the total number of starts he has remaining, based on eligibility. A player can only start at one position in a lineup although players often have multiple positions where they can be used. The number of appearances listed on the Lineups Page can be deceiving. Be sure to check your Roster or Promote/Demote page to identify the number of starts your player has at each position.

Select a player for each position, and click "Save Lineup" for each lineup. You may also click the "Use Standard Lineup" button for tomorrow and the next day. It will automatically insert the current Standard Lineup into the slots. Doing so does not require clicking the Save Lineup button. A yellow highlight indicates that players are available at that position but are not slotted in the lineup yet. If you do not fill in the slot you will get a lineup hole. A red highlight indicates that no players are available and will result in a lineup hole. You can attempt to make roster moves (promotions, free agent claims, trades) in order to make players available.

NOTE: Lineup holes result in an 0-3 batting performance and a team error.
