In addition to standard hitter eligibility, BBM tracks the number of hitting starts against RHP and LHP for each player. The player can only make as many RHP and LHP starts in BBM as he has made in MLB. These starts are not tied to any specific position.
A hitter with 10 RHP starts and 10 LHP starts – 20 total starts with 10 coming at second base and 10 at shortstop – can make 10 RHP starts as a shortstop, whether those shortstop starts were earned versus a RHP or LHP in MLB.
Continued eligibility will change based on the player’s usage in BBM and MLB.
