While BBM uses the live stats from that night’s MLB games as often as possible, there are times that a “stat pool” appearance would be used instead of the “live” appearance. If BBM requires a long relief appearance, but the RP generated a short relief appearance in MLB that night, a “stat pool” appearance will be used instead. The “live” appearance will be placed in the “stat pool” to be used another night. Similarly, if BBM requires a short relief appearance and the pitcher generated a long relief appearance in MLB that day, a “stat pool” short relief appearance will be used.
