Keeper Drafts and Salaries

Keeper League Rules

7 to 10 players must be kept by each manager each year.*

New Salaries

The pre-draft roster and Set Players to Keep pages identify how long a player has been kept. Players kept less than 3 years receive 10% increases (minimum 100k, maximum 5,000k). Players kept 3 years or longer (for example John Doe - 3rd Year keeper) have projected 10% increases (actual amounts determined by draft lists from league managers).

Draft Order & Salaries

Draft order is determined by deducting the sum of all kept players' new and projected salaries from the $40 million starting payroll.

Salary Caps for Keepers

The Actual Spending column on the Salary Caps page displays new salaries of all players marked to be kept. The amount is updated once that round is completed. Salaries of 3+ year keepers are also included in the Actual Spending column, since the projected salaries of those 3+ keepers are included when determining draft order.

Salary caps must be set at least as high as the Actual Spending at every position, or you cannot change the salary cap at any position.

NOTE: Managers must set their cap high enough to afford the 3+ year keepers or those players won't be kept.

When a player is traded his player contract goes with the new team...it is NOT reset.

*Players not on draft lists may be kept. They count toward the 7-10 player limit and act just like any other kept player.
