Determining Draft Order

The draft order for the Starting Pitcher draft is set randomly by the BBM computer at the start of the draft.

For the 2nd – 6th rounds of the Starting Pitcher draft, and for every round of every subsequent position, the team with the most remaining payroll drafts first. In the event of a tie, the order is set randomly.

If there is a tie in remaining payroll at the end of a round, the order for the next round will still be set randomly. If Mike’s Muskrats and Bob’s Earthworms have the same remaining payroll after the First Base draft and the Muskrats are listed ahead of the Earthworms on the League Directory, this doesn’t mean the Muskrats will draft before the Earthworms in the first round of the Second Base draft.

Note: For Keeper leagues, any players designated as keepers will be “drafted” by their respective teams first. Once all of a team’s keepers in a round have been processed, the team will then be able to draft new players.

For instance, if a team keeps 3 outfielders, the team will not draft new players until the 4th round. The only exception would be if the team did not allow enough salary cap to afford to re-sign a 'First Rights' player.
