Free Agent Pool

Undrafted players, players released by BBM teams, players up from the minor leagues, and players involved in interleague trades are available to be signed as free agents. Click on Free Agents on the Manage menu to see the list of players. The lists can be adjusted by Position and by the number of appearances.

Note that the default appearances is at least 1 appearance. To see players additional players change that box to >= 0.

The lists are sortable. Clicking on a player's name provides additional information from mlb.com.

All undrafted players are available to be signed as free agents (FA). In BBM, teams are allowed to make one FA bid per night (click here for more information on FA bidding). The team must have an open roster spot (fewer than 30 players) in order to claim a FA. The open roster spot can happen in several ways:

  1. 1. Release a player as part of the FA claim,
  2. 2. Complete a trade where more players are traded away than received, or
  3. 3. Player deleted due to an interleague trade in MLB (AL and NL BBM leagues only)

Note: When a player is scheduled to be deleted, he cannot be included as the released player on the same night he is being deleted.

The day after your league's draft is completed, you will be able to see all of the undrafted players on the Free Agents page.

Note: No FA can be claimed until he has been a free agent for 3 days. The day that a player's Days reaches 3 is the first time a bid can be processed on a FA. Bids can be made in advance of day 3, but the bid will not be processed until Day 3.
