Stat Pools

BBM uses the actual stats generated in MLB to complete its games. Depending on several factors, there is the possibility that a player will use an appearance from a previous game. These appearances are kept in a “stat pool” for future use. When a stat pool appearance is used, the box score designates the stat line with an asterisk (*).

When a player’s stat pool has been depleted, he will display “Benched” on the team roster and will not be able to be used in BBM again until he makes another appearance in MLB.

All player’s MLB stats can only be used once during the BBM regular season.

Some reasons why a stat pool appearance would be used:

• The BBM starting pitcher did not start in MLB
• The BBM reliever was not used as a reliever in MLB
• The BBM starting fielder did not start that night
• The BBM reserve fielder did not play that night
• For Ultimate Leagues
  • The BBM starting fielder did not face the same-handed starting pitcher in MLB (LHP in BBM, but RHP in MLB).
