Traded Players and Lineups

Not Using Trade Review

When a trade is completed within the game, the impact is immediate. A starting pitcher (SP) who is traded but is locked in to start a game will be removed from the starting rotation. This will result in the team that traded him having no SP for that game, and receiving the No-SP penalty of 6 runs being added to that team’s Total Defense.

Traded hitters who are locked to start in that night’s game will be removed from the starting lineup, and the team will incur a Lineup Hole penalty.

Additionally, managers should check their Next Day’s lineup for hitters, and the Starting Rotation to be sure the traded players were not set to lock in overnight. Failure to address this can also result in receiving a penalty.

Using Trade Review

The night that the trade is set to be completed with the game, managers should check their Next Day’s lineup for hitters, and the Starting Rotation to be sure the traded players are not set to lock in overnight. Failure to address this can also result in receiving a No-SP and/or Lineup Hole penalty.
